Frustration is the breaking point for many entrepreneurs — they hit what seems like a brick wall and finally throw in the towel.

But I didn’t have that luxury… I couldn’t quit!

I had invested my life savings into my business and was determined to make it work.

For me, the game changer was internet marketing.

Everyone talked about how it was going to revolutionize business and I knew I had to make it work for mine.

Ha… that was easier said than done!

I was not a rich man… but what I lacked in finances, I made up for with passion and intelligence.

I invested in and studied countless marketing courses.

I read blogs and forums.

And most importantly — I tried stuff!

When I tried something, I would track it meticulously so that if it didn’t work, I could find out where my strategy was breaking down and fix it.

Pretty soon I was able to launch marketing campaigns and optimize them in a matter of days.

And because I was so persistent, I was able to come up with my own formula for getting most marketing campaigns working right out of the gate.

One of my most enlightening lessons was when I discovered how to get more customers — while actually lowering my advertising costs!

That was a good day.

My business model had evolved and I started affiliate marketing, which really allowed me to sharpen my skills (and grow my bank account).

But I had started out as a bricks and mortar small business owner and I wanted to help others grow their businesses like I did my own.

So I put my affiliate campaigns on autopilot and began helping business owners with their online marketing strategies through my company Brainwave Media.

When I first began working with clients, I thought they would be as excited as I was to learn about getting more customers for their business using the internet.

It turns out… they weren’t!

They didn’t want the labor pains — they just wanted the baby!
